Search Committee Begins Its Work
The new Search Committee met for the first time this evening. At a meeting in the Conference room the seven members of the committee (Mark Barnett, Langston Jackson, Jan Good, Velma Hunt, Kathryn Pierce, Carol Moakley, and Aaron Ban) met with Rev. Dr Jack Seville who is the Interim Associate Conference Minister assigned to support the committee as it begins its work. Pat Perryman, our Moderator, also met with the committee. Over the course of the next year they will work to identify the qualities we are looking for in our next called pastor and will choose a candidate to present to the Congregation for our consideration.
