I'm with the "sign-up sheet/option of either bagels or some other tasty baked treat" crowd. As a committee member, I'd like this not to be one more of the hazards (I mean benefits!!) of serving on a committee. I would be among the first to sign up to bring treats, but this could be a good opportunity to allow people who want to contribute to our congregational life but who can't find the time or resources for an ongoing commitment to join in the fun! Maybe even allow the treats to be dedicated -- in a way analogous too (or even perhaps in lieu of) the altar flowers? (Today's refreshments are given by Christine Johnson in honor of her father's world's-best chocolate chip cookies.")?
